Please contact the surgery after 9.30am if you are not ringing to arrange an urgent appointment. This is to allow patients who need an urgent appointment to get through.

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or Call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

If you require emergency medical attention, go to the accident and emergency department or call 999. Accident and emergency departments are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and can provide emergency treatment.

GP Extended Hours

We work in partnership with other practices within the Chorley area to offer routine appointments during the evening and at weekend / bank holidays (subject to availability). You can book these appointments by contacting our reception on 01257 514240. Please be advised these appointments will require you to travel to an alternative medical centre in central Chorley.

If you have an appointment and we are closed your appointment may be at one of the following surgeries:

  • Library House Surgery Weekends Avondale Road Chorley PR7 2AD. Tel: 01257 514 030.
  • Regent House Surgery Saturdays 21 Regent Road Chorley PR7 2DH. Tel: 01257 264842.

How do I book an appointment?

Contact your GP practice in the usual way to request an appointment. If there is no appointment available at your practice, they may offer you an appointment with the GP Extended Access Service, if this is right for you.

If your practice is closed and you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or Call 111. They may also be able to book an appointment for you with the GP Extended Access Service.

Please note that your consent will be required in order for an appointment to be booked for you.

Warfarin clinic is held on Tuesday mornings, you must have been contacted by the practice to attend this clinic. If you would like to discuss attending our Warfarin clinic please contact the practice manager. 

Baby immunisation clinic is held on Wednesday. You will usually receive an appointment to attend this clinic. If you are unable to attend this clinic with your child we can arrange for your child to have their immunisations in our treatment room clinic. 

Podiatry clinic is held on Thursdays and Fridays. This clinic is for annual diabetic foot checks only. You should only book in this clinic once you have received an invitation to do so from the practice. 

Midwife clinic is held on Monday and Wednesday.
