CANELLING YOUR APPOINTMENT

Please cancel your appointment in good time to allow us to use it for another patient. even if it is short notice, it is better to cancel your appointment rather than failing to attend.

Our recent annual survey found that some patients felt they were waiting too long for routine appointments. However, we also identified that in the last year 2278 patients failed to attend their appointment at the practice.  As part of our practice action plan we would like to try and reduce failed appointments this year. If patients cancel unwanted appointments this will make more appointments available and reduce waiting times.

You can cancel your appointment by:

  • Text message - If you received an appointment reminder by text, you can cancel by following the instructions on the text message.
  • Telephone reception:  01257 514240
  • Cancel online by registering for our online services. Contact the practice if you do not already have access to this service and we can arrange this for you.

If you have a mobile telephone we can text you an appointment reminder to ensure you do not forget your appointment. Please ensure we have your up to date mobile telephone number.

The practice monitors repeated failuresto attend appointments,  action will be taken if patients repeatedly fail to attend appointments.
